Make a robot the easy way – lite version
Your first program-lite
We have used number 10 here as an example. This number should be the pin number (black socket called the Input/Output pins) on your Arduino that is connected to the positive leg of your LED. Look at the 3d animation to see what we mean.
void setup ( )
void loop ( )
digitalWrite(10, HIGH); // turn the LED on (HIGH is the voltage level)
Once you have typed everything, double check your brackets are correct and semi colons appear in the correct place.
Then go to tools, serial port and ensure that you have selected the correct port.
Next click on upload.
You should see a progress bar, compiling…downloading…done.
And…voila! Your LED should be on!
If not, double check your code and wiring.
Make sure you selected the correct port.
Many jobs now require robotics and it is a hugely fun and rewarding skill to learn.
So if you are looking to get started with robotics and want to learn how to make a robot fast, this is the BEST course to start with.
You will learn how to use the Arduino board, one of the easiest tools to get started with. And quickly progress from flashing leds right through to using motors, and building a robot that will react to its surroundings.
